Removing Lipstick Stains from Whites

On the Go

Some people swear by hairspray to remove lipstick. Liberally spritz the affected area to prevent stain from setting. Afterwards, blot away excess hairspray, being careful not to spread the stain.

At Home

Place a clean, dry cloth on the front of the stain, then dab (don’t rub) the back of the stain with dish soap on a damp cloth. Be careful not to transfer lipstick back onto garment. Wash on the hottest recommended water setting with regular detergent and Clorox® Concentrated Regular-Bleach for whites. Repeat as needed, and make sure to check garment before drying.
